By mastering the various properties that light possesses and adding Stanley’s own overall strengths (peripheral knowledge), Stanley will develop five ways of creating value with light and offer that value to society. Here are several projects that Stanley has completed that demonstrate these five types of value.

CREATING

The creation of light sources is the wellspring of Stanley’s value. We will continue to develop new and promising light sources.

Stanley Light From its beginnings in light bulbs for automobiles, Stanley’s creation of light has evolved to halogen bulbs, micro light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, HIDs, LEDs, and lasers.

RECOGNIZING

We deliver advanced detection and recognition functions that use even those functions of light that are invisible to the human eye.

Reducing nighttime traffic accidents by producing high-resolution light with an ADB system using liquid crystals.
LCD-ADB Systems

When driving at night, drivers are recommended to use their high beams during normal driving so that they can see pedestrians and the shape of the road in the distance. In actual traffic environments, however, they need to use different lights depending on the situation, or it may lead to dangerous glare.

Laser Scan Headlamp System

The risks of delays in noticing pedestrians and of colliding with structures at night are much higher than during the day. In these situations, the reduction of “blind spots” will be important to allow drivers to drive safely. With our headlamp system that offers excellent light distribution control functions, Stanley strives to ensure driving visibility at night that is even better than daytime driving, with the aim of achieving zero night-time traffic accidents in the future.
