We conduct environmental protection activities based on three pillars of “the conservation of natural resources,” “conservation of energy,” and “the prevention of pollution” and address the development of products in view of reduced waste and CO2 emissions in addition to zero emissions or the reduction of environmental load substances.
Features of eco-friendly products
- Downsizing/weight reduction
- We address the challenge of downsizing and weight reduction by reducing the number of parts/components and the amount of material used in each product. Downsized and weight-reduced products contribute to weight reduction of vehicles, improved mileage, better carrying efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions. To further promote downsizing and weight reduction, we put priority on the development of simulation technology and its application to product design.

- Long life
- The life of LED lamps is 20 times as long as that of halogen lamps and 40 times that of bulbs. Thanks to the longer life of the product, the number of times to replace lamps is reduced, resulting in reduced waste. We are engaged in the development of LED and replacement with LED.

- Elimination of environmental load substances
- In order to realize a recycling society, we are engaged in developing eco-safe products. We promote the reduction of environmental load substances, targeting zero emissions and maintenance.

- Power saving/high efficiency
We address the development of products that have higher efficiency and consume less power than existing products.
Power-saving products lead to CO2 emissions reduction, and we address this development further in view of preventing global warming. Furthermore, taking advantage of light irradiation technology as our strength, we increase the effective use of light, contributing to reducing CO2 emissions.
